Bellator 109 Opening Betting Odds

Maiquel-Falcao MMA oddsmaker Nick Kalikas today opened the complete betting lines for the Bellator 109 card at Several Bookmakers, and here they are below. ———————– BELLATOR 109: SHLEMENKO VS. MARSHALL November 22, 2013 – Sands Casino Event Center, Bethlehem, PA ——————– MAIN CARD (Spike TV, 9 p.m. ET) Doug Marshall +260 Alexander Shlemenko -380 —Middleweight Title Will Brooks +160 Alexander Sarnavskiy -210 —Lightweight Tourney Final Ron Keslar +260 Rick Hawn -380 —Welterweight Tournament Final Patrick Cenoble +280 Terry Etim -400 ——————– Adam’s thoughts: In the main event of Bellator 109, Alexander Shlemenko puts the Bellator middleweight championship on the line against Doug Marshall. There is no doubt in my mind that Shlemenko is the better fighter, but he is coming off a war with Brett Cooper and I don’t know if his body has had enough time to heal. As for Marshall, he has been a revelation in Bellator, winning four-straight fights including three by knockout. In a straight-up match I’d lean towards Shlemenko, but at +260 I’m definitely considering a small play on “Rhino.” In the lightweight tournament final, Will Brooks takes on Tiger Sarnavskiy. This is an excellent matchup pitting an athletic wrestler against one of the most well-rounded prospects in the sport and I expect it to be one of the most exciting fights on the whole card. Still, I definitely favor Sarnavskiy for the win here as I believe he has more ways to get his hand raised. At -210, I’d probably be looking to parlay him. And in the welterweight tournament final, Rick Hawn takes on Ron Keslar. Although Keslar has surprised during his tournament run, I just don’t think he has anything for Hawn here and I definitely expect “Genghis” to get the win here. At -380, I’d probably be looking to put him into a parlay, maybe with Sarnavskiy.
