Bellator 106’s Daniel Straus: ‘My first fight with Pat Curran changed me as a fighter’

MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Bellator 106 featherweight Daniel Straus as he prepares for his title fight this weekend (Nov. 2, 2013) against Pat Curran at The Convention and Entertainment Center in Long Beach, California.

The American Top Team and Team Vision fighter knows he’s got a tall task ahead of him in Pat Curran, a fighter without any real weaknesses.

“[Pat Curran’s] really elusive. I’ve tried to get as much tape as I could on him and watch a lot of different things he’s doing. It’s a couple things. Pat has alot of power. People don’t really notice it but he can put you down with one shot. I’ve been witness to that. Pat has some power in his hands but that being said, he’s really good on the ground. Overall, he’s really elusive. That’s the number one thing you have to be aware of. He can do anything at any one time so you have to be aware the whole time you’re fighting him.”
