UFC Fight Night 30 took place this past Saturday in England, and the event proved to be pretty exciting overall with a few unexpected upsets and awesome endings to fights. When the unexpected happens, that means that a number of crazy prop bets cashed, and for today’s MMA Odds and Ends, I’ve found five props that hit that would have made you a lot of money if you bet on them. Nicholas Musoke wins by submission (+635) In a main card upset, UFC newcomer Nicholas Musoke submitted long-time Octagon veteran Alessio Sakara in the first round with an armbar to pick up his first official UFC victory and open eyes up to how talented this young man is. The prop on Musoke by submission scored at +635, so if this was what you were banking on, congratulations on the nice haul. Luke Barnatt vs. Andrew Craig wins “Fight of the Night” (+950) In what was deemed the “Fight of the Night” by UFC president Dana White, middleweights Luke Barnatt and Andrew Craig went toe-to-toe for nearly two rounds before Barnatt was able to knock Craig down and wrap in a rear-naked choke finish. It was a very fun fight to watch and although I was personally on Craig’s side in this one, I have to give kudos to Barnatt for a brilliant performance that is going to shoot him up the UFC middleweight ranks. The prop for this bout to win “Fight of the Night” cashed out at +950, so if you tailed our very own Gabe Killian and nailed it, congratulations on your winnings. Luke Barnatt wins by submission (+708) As well, since Barnatt won by unexpected second-round submission, the prop bet on him winning by that method cashed out. Barnatt via submission scored at +708, so if this was what you picked to happen last Saturday night, my hat’s off to you because I personally did not see this coming. Cole Miller wins by decision (+334) In a featherweight prelim, Cole Miller saved his job in the UFC by picking up a decision win over Andy Ogle. The prop for Miller to win the fight by decision hit at +334, so if this was your play, nice hit. Brad Scott wins by submission (+1200) And finally, in the opening fight of the night, Brit Brad Scott scored an upset submission victory over Michael Kuiper to pick up his first official UFC win. The prop bet on Scott by submission cashed out at +1200, so if this was your pick, congrats because that’s quite a haul.
