UFC on FX 4 – Preliminary Card Friday, June 22, 2012 at 6 p.m. (ET) on FUEL TV Revel Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey Ramsey Nijem (-185) Profile: Runner-up in The Ultimate Fighter 13, Nijem (5-2) followed his knockout loss to TUF winner Tony Ferguson with a solid decision win over tough vet Danny Downes at UFC 137. Always relying on his wrestling background, the 24-year-old looks to bring down his opponent and muscle them literally into a submission. In his five wins, he has done just that with two decision victories by way of top control along with two submission wins and a knockout. C.J. Keith (+155) Profile: Keith (8-0) is an undefeated lightweight newly signed by the UFC. Keith is set to make his promotional debut after needing to pull out of his UFC on FUEL TV bout due to his father’s house catching on fire. Now, refocused and ready to continue his unbeaten streak, the dangerous lightweight hopes to impose his will on Ramsey Nijem. The 25-year-old has a varied attack style, knocking out his last three opponents in The Warriors Cage promotion after earning decisions in three of his previous four fights. Opening MMA Odds Analysis: MMA oddsmaker Nick Kalikas has installed Nijem as the -185 favorite (bet $185 to win $100) while Keith opened as a +155 underdog (bet $100 to win $155) according to the MMA odds. This is a huge moment for Keith in his first UFC fight against another young fighter who proved himself as a fearless competitor in TUF 13. Nijem bounced back nicely from a crushing defeat against Ferguson in the season finale, and now he must continue to stay on the right path by winning bouts like this. Nobody knows quite what to expect from Keith, as this is a big step up in competition for him. Meanwhile, Nijem’s training with Riven Academy and The Pit Elevated seemingly gives him a solid edge, as he battles top competitors in practice on a regular basis.
