UFC Fight Night 29 was one of the most surprising events of the year as a number of unexpected outcomes happened, many of them shocking the entire MMA community. And when that happens, that means some big prop bets cashed out. Here’s a list of five crazy UFC Fight Night 29 prop bets that cashed, courtesy of Several Bookmakers: Jake Shields Wins By Split/Majority Decision (+1005) In the main event of the event, Jake Shields edged out a close split decision win over Demian Maia to continue his march to a rematch with Georges St-Pierre. Shields was a +300 dog and wasn’t expected to win this fight, but he was able to grind it out and the prop on Shields wins by split/majority decision hit at +1005. So congrats if that was your play last night. Dong Hyun Kim Wins By T/KO (+1200)/Kim Wins In Round Two (+1775) Dong Hyun Kim stunned the world when he floored Brazilian Erick Silva with a huge punch in the second round of their fight as the underrated welterweight moved up the rankings. Kim wins by T/KO cashed at +1200 and Kim in round two paid out at +1775, so if these were your plays you made out like a bandit on Wednesday night. Thiago Silva Wins By Decision (+359) Thiago Silva beat the piss out of Matt Hamill just like everyone expected he would, but he wasn’t able to finish “The Hammer” and ended up settling for a win on the cards. Silva wins via decision was +359, so if this was your play congrats because that was a very nice prop hit for a big favorite. Rousimar Palhares Wins In Round One (+650) Rousimar Palhares put on a classic performance as not only did he submit Mike Pierce with an ankle lock in the first round, he also didn’t let go of the tap after the ref broke the fighters off. Regardless, a win is a win and if you were backing Palhares, congrats because he was a decent-sized dog. As well, the prop on Palhares wins in round one — which was logically the only round he could win the fight in — cashed out at +650, so if that was your play here, nicely done. Chris Cariaso Wins By T/KO (+700)/Cariaso Wins In Round Two (+1200) Chris Cariaso was down big to Iliarde Santos in round one but in round two he stormed back to knock the Brazilian out and pick up his first win as a UFC flyweight in the process. The prop on Cariaso wins by T/KO cashed out at a juicy +700, but the prop on him winning in round two was an even jucier +1200.
