MMA Odds and Ends for Wednesday: UFC Fight Night 27 Prop Bets To Consider

Rafael dos Anjos There wasn’t much news in the world of MMA yesterday, so instead of covering the latest fight announcements like I usually do in the daily Odds and Ends, today I’m going to write about a few of the interesting prop bets available at Several Bookmakers for tonight’s UFC Fight Night 27 event. Here’s five props that I believe bettors should consider putting their money down on. Carlos Condit Wins Inside The Distance (+145) The main event of UFC Fight Night 27 is a welterweight bout between Carlos Condit and Martin Kampmann, a fight that should be a war for however long it lasts. I favor Condit quite a bit in this fight and I think he wins by stoppage. The prop on Condit to win ITD pays out at +145, which is good value considering the fight is five rounds and a decision is highly unlikely. Rafael dos Anjos Wins Via 3-Round Decision (+190) The co-main event of UFC Fight Night 27 is a lightweight bout between Donald Cerrone and Rafael dos Anjos, a fight that should provide plenty of entertainment for the fans. Dos Anjos is my side in the fight and I see him winning a decision. Dos Anjos wins via 3-round decision pays out at +190 and I think this is a great prop to throw in a small round robin. Court McGee Wins Via 3-Round Decision (+215) One of the most underrated fights on the card is a welterweight bout between Court McGee and Robert Whittaker, a fight I believe will be in contention for “Fight of the Night ” when it’s all said and done. McGee wins via 3-round decision pays +215, and since he’s my side in the fight and this is how I see him winning, I really like the value on this prop. Brandon Thatch Wins Inside The Distance (+100) Brandon Thatch is one of the better welterweight prospects to join the UFC in a while, and the promotion has decided to give him veteran Justin Edwards in his first Octagon bout. While I believe Edwards is an underrated fighter, I still think the UFC is giving Thatch a winnable fight here because of Edwards’ fast-paced style. Both of these fighters rarely go to decision, and I don’t think this fight is going to be any different. I favor Thatch in this matchup and since he’s a finisher, I think Thatch wins inside the distance at +100 is a very, very solid prop bet. Darren Elkins Wins Via 3-Round Decision (+160) Darren Elkins takes on Hatsu Hioki in an intriguing featherweight matchup, and it’s a fight I believe will hit the scorecards. Elkins by decision is +160 and, since he’s my side in this fight, this is a prop I recommend for a small round robin as I believe this is Elkins’ most likely path to victory.
