LFA 81 takes place at the The Hangar at the OC Fair and Event Center in Costa Mesa, California tonight (Friday, January 31, 2019) at 9 p.m. ET live on UFC Fight Pass. Featherweights Jamall Emmers and Rafael Barboza are slated to duke it out in the main event.
Emmers (16-4) is riding an three-fight winning streak and sports a 2-0 record under the LFA banner. He most recently defeated Jay Cucciniello via first round TKO at Final Fight 38 in June. Barboza (12-2) also has a 2-0 record under the LFA banner. He most recently had a seven-fight winning streak snapped by Luis Nogueira via split decision at Future FC 9 in October.
The co-main event features a pair of lightweights as Jacob Rosales takes on Salaiman Ahmadyar.
Rosales (11-5) is undefeated in LFA with a 1-0 record in the promotion. He most recently had a four-fight winning streak snapped by Jonathan Pierce via third round TKO at Contender Series 2019 in July. Ahmadyar (7-1) is still hunting for his first victory with LFA, going 0-1 in the promotion thus far. Most recently he defeated Don Mohammed via split decision at Dragon House 31 in March.
