LFA 70 takes place at The Sylvee in Madison, Wisconsin on Friday (June 28, 2019) at 9 p.m. ET live on AXS TV. Heavyweights Renan Ferreira and Brett Martin are slated to duke it out in the main event.
A native of Brazil, Ferreira (5-1) is making both his LFA and his United States debut. He most recently scored a second round TKO victory over Fabricio Almeida this past March and. Nicknamed “The Problema” the 29-year-old enters this bout on a three-fight winning streak. Martin (7-1) also is making his LFA debut and, like Ferreira, is currently riding a three-fight winning streak. Martin most recently won a unanimous decision against Jesse Hernandez in April and has finished four of his seven career victories.
In the co-main event, a pair of top American welterweight prospects will throw down as Mark Lemminger fights Isaac Steele.
Lemminger (7-1) had almost exclusively fought in the Chosen Few promotion before making his LFA debut at this event. He most recently earned a unanimous decision against veteran Rocky Edwards last September. Steele (7-1) has bounced from promotion to promotion throughout his career, most recently earning a second round rear naked choke victory over Chris Petty in March of 2018, with three other bouts falling through since then.
