Justin Ledet vs. Dalcha Lungiambula, UFC on ESPN 3
A heavyweight bout between Justin Ledet and Dalcha Lungiambula is also scheduled for UFC on ESPN 3. Ledet (9-2, 1 NC) opened up his UFC career with three straight wins as a heavyweight but has since gone 0-2 since moving down to 205lbs, including a brutal 15-second KO loss to Johnny Walker his last time out. Lungiambula (9-1) is making his UFC debut after a five-fight win streak in EFC Africa. Though Lungiambula is making his UFC debut, I expect bettors to fade Ledet here which should see Lungiambula come in as the betting favorite.
Eryk Anders vs. Vinicius Moreira, UFC on ESPN 3
An injury to Roman Dolidze has bumped him from his scheduled light heavyweight fight against Vinicius Moreira at UFC on ESPN 3, and stepping in on short notice is none other than Eryk Anders, who is in desperate need of a win. Anders (11-4) is 3-4 in the UFC and is riding a three-fight losing skid right now that includes a lopsided loss to Khalil Rountree in his last fight. Moreira (9-2) is coming off of a brutal TKO loss to Alonzo Menifield in his UFC debut that snapped a five-fight win streak. Although Anders is on a losing streak and would otherwise be fade material, this is actually a fight he can win against Moreira, and Anders should probably be heavily favored here.
Joel Alvarez vs. Danilo Belluardo, UFC Fight Night 153
Also, just a small update to the upcoming UFC Sweden event. Lightweights Joel Alvarez and Danilo Belluardo will meet at UFC Fight Night 153, taking place June 1 at Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden. Sherdog broke the news. Alvarez (15-2) lost a decision to Damir Ismagulov earlier this year in his UFC debut, which snapped the Spanish fighter’s 10-fight win streak. Belluardo (12-3) is making his UFC debut following a six-fight win streak. The Italian has experience fighting in Bellator and Venator FC and comes to the UFC with a high pedigree. This battle of European prospects could go either way, but Belluardo has all the momentum right now and will likely be slightly favored to win this fight.
