Bellator 109’s Rick Hawn: ‘I don’t think Ron Keslar wants to stand and strike with me’

MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Bellator 109 welterweight Rick Hawn as he prepares for his main card tournament final bout tonight (Nov. 22, 2013) against Ron Keslar at the Sands Casino Event Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

The former United States Judo Olympian is gearing up for a chance to win his second straight Bellator tournament tonight, and he’s fully prepared for Ron Keslar’s wrestling ability.

“He comes from a very good camp. They have great coaches there and some great grapplers that he trains with. He has a wrestling-based jiu-jitsu style. I really haven’t seen much of the striking. I don’t think he wants to stand and strike with me much. He just wants to go to the ground where he can use his size and leverage.”
