The UFC today added three new fights to UFC Manchester, including a light heavyweight match between Jimi Manuwa and Ryan Jimmo. The other new fights for UFC Fight Night 30 are: a lightweight bout between Paul Taylor and Anthony Njokuani and a flyweight fight between John Lineker and Phil Harris. Let’s break down the fights one by one. The fight between Jimmo and Manuwa is really intriguing, as it’s essentially a grinder vs. striker matchup. Although Jimmo has the wrestling to give Manuwa problems, I think he can keep the fight on the feet and I believe he can finish Jimmo. Still, it’s a close fight. I cap Manuwa at -145 for the fight with the comeback on Jimmo at +115 and I will likely be targeting the Manuwa TKO prop if it’s at plus money because it’s the only way Manuwa can win the fight. The lightweight fight between Njokuani and Taylor should be a fun standup fight but there’s huge red flags on the Brit Taylor here, as he hasn’t fought in over two years. I cap Njokuani at -250 for this fight with the comeback on Taylor at +200, and I really do think Njokuani is a great target for a bet in this spot because of all the question marks surrounding Taylor. And finally the flyweight match between Lineker and Harris was supposed to take place at UFC 163 but Harris got hurt and Lineker fought Jose Tome instead. I cap Lineker at -350 for this bout with Harris, who I believe should be a +300 underdog, and I’ll likely use Lineker as parlay fodder. UFC Fight Night 28 Adds Silveiro vs. Zeferino An injury to Kenny Robertson has taken him out of a UFC Fight Night 28 matchup against Joao Zeferino and now Zeferino will fight Elvis Silveiro. I have absolutely no lean in this fight between two fighters who are barely UFC capable and I will under no means be betting on it unless I see some tape on Silveiro that blows me away. WSOF 5 Main Event Now Arlovski vs. Kyle And one more injury to report as Anthony Johnson is out of the main event of WSOF 5 with an injury and now Andrei Arlovski steps in on short notice to fight Mike Kyle at heavyweight. The Arlovski vs. Kyle match is interesting and the way I will attack it from a betting perspective depends a lot on the line. I personally cap Arlovski at -200 with the comeback on Kyle at +150 so if I can get Kyle at a good dog price I will bet him because although he is undersized he does hit hard and Arlovski has a weak chin. This should be a fun fight regardless though.
