LFA 55 Opening Betting Odds

LFA 55 takes place at The Bomb Factory in Dallas, Texas on Friday (Nov. 30, 2018) at 9pm ET live on AXS TV. The vacant 135-pound title – left by UFC bantamweight Ricky Simon – is up for grabs in the main event as undefeated Miles Johns faces Adrian Yanez.

Johns (7-0) is coming off a second-round submission win over previously undefeated Eric Ellington at LFA 40. The 24-year-old was slated to fight Yanez in March however the match ended up getting cancelled. The Fortis MMA product also holds wins over top prospects Levi Mowles and Caio Machado. Yanez (7-2) has won six of his last seven fights with his lone defeat coming against Contender Series winner and current UFC bantamweight Domingo Pilarte. The 24-year-old heads into this title fight off a first-round TKO win over Nathan Trepagnier at LFA 35.

The promotion will also crown it’s first ever women’s bantamweight champion as Sarah Alpar faces Joselyne Edwards.

Alpar (7-4) hasn’t competed in more than a year and is coming off a TKO win over Pamela Boveda Aguirre at Surgar Creek Showdown 33. The 27-year-old has fought the likes of former UFC fighers Heather Clark and Jocelyn Jones-Lybarger in her career. Alpar will be looking for back-to-back wins for the first time since Dec. 2015. Meanwhile Edwards (8-1) heads into this championship showdown on a seven-fight win streak. The 23-year-old recently defeated Brenda Gonzales by second-round armbar at KOTC: Agreesive Lifestyle in July

Also on the main card is a pivitol bantamweight matchup pitting former Victory FC champion Raufeon Stots against Levi Mowles. Stots (10-1) has won back-to-back fights since losing his only professional bout against current UFC bantamweight Merab Dvalishvili. The Roufusport standout has finished six of his 11-career opponents. Mowles (10-3) heads into this contest off four-straight wins, three of those being stoppage victories. The 23-year-old holds wins over main event fighter Yanez and UFC veteran Edwin Figueroa.
