And here are my initial reactions to UFC Fight Night 141:

– Safe to say the sportsbooks blew the opening line for the main event rematch between Ngannou and Blaydes. Despite opening as the favorite, the line has completely flipped since then and now Blaydes is a solid 2-to-1 favorite for this bout. Yes, Ngannou did beat Blaydes the first time these two fought a couple years ago, but since then Blaydes has really improved while it looks like Ngannou is on a slight decline. It’s a heavyweight fight so anything can happen, but based on his wrestling game and Ngannou’s poor takedown defense, you had to lean with Blaydes to get the job done here. Too bad he’s not at plus money anymore.

– The co-main event is also a heavyweight bout, though this one is a bit trickier to call. Overeem is one of the greatest heavyweights of all time but his chin is gone at this point and it’s hard to trust him against anyone with knockout power. Pavolich is making his UFC debut here and is a bit of an unknown, but he’s a big heavyweight who can knock the lights off of Overeem if he connects. This is a pretty tough one to call, though is Overeeem gets to significant dog money he might be worth a stab based on pure value.

– There’s a couple fights that should be blowouts. Yadong should be able to take care of Morales pretty easily, Smolka should be able to beat Sumudaerji, Holland should beat Phillips, Liu should beat Day and Jingliang should beat Zawada. The lines for all of these bouts have been priced accordingly.

– As far as dogs go, I’d take a look at Yaozong against Coulter. These are two of the lowest-level heavyweights still hanging around the UFC, but at least Yaozong has a little bit of upside as a young and presumably improving fighter. Coulter has been knocked out in all three of his UFC appearances and at this point you simply cannot put any sort of money on this guy.

– I’d also take a look at Aguilar to beat Zhang as a dog. Though Zhang has a great record, she’s fought a poor level of competition and Aguilar, a former WSOF champion, is a significant step up in competition. Aguilar hasn’t did much in the UFC so far, but she has the pedigree and the skills to turn things around. After early betting action, he line for this fight currently has Aguilar as a huge underdog, and there could be some value on her here.
