Ultimate Fighting Championship announced today that December’s UFC 232 event will feature a light heavyweight title main event between former champion Jon Jones and former two-time title challenger Alexander Gustafsson.

MMA oddsmaker Nick Kalikas’ betting line for the upcoming bout was released via ESPN earlier today.

Here’s what Kalikas had to say about the contest:

“Former champion Jon Jones makes his return after 17-months away from the sport to take on rival Alexander Gustafsson, who returns from a 19-month hiatus. They fought each other five years ago in one of the greatest fights in UFC history, where Jones won a highly competitive decision despite closing as a massive 8-1 betting favorite. I’m expecting another competitive scrap as these two fighters mirror each other in both skill-sets and physical attributes. In most peoples’ eyes, Jones is the greatest MMA fighter of all time, having dominated nearly everyone he’s ever faced, except for when he fought Gustafsson. The betting public loves coming in heavy on Jones and he will get that kind of respect at the betting window, even against a tough match-up like Gustafsson. So despite this being a competitive bout, I’m going to have to open Jones as a relatively heavy -250 favorite to avoid lopsided action on Jones.”
