UFC 228 Closing Odds and Betting Results

UFC 228 took place Saturday, September 8, 2018 in Dallas, Texas. The card was headlined by the welterweight title fight between Darren Till and Tyron Woodley.

Favorites that Won

Jessica Andrade stamped her position as the top contender in the strawweight division with a knockout of fellow contender Karolina Kowalkiewicz in the opening round. Andrade closed -470 with the return on Kowalkiewicz +350.

Zabit Magomedsharipov had no problem with Brandon Davis winning by second round knee bar as he continues to move up the featherweight rankings. Magomedsharipov closed the biggest favorite on the card at -1650 while Davis closed +750.

Jimmie Rivera was the more active fighter landin with more volume to get the biggest win of his career over fellow top ten bantamweight John Dodson. Rivera closed -155 while Dodson closed +125.

Tatiana Suarez proved what all the hype was about as she completely dominated Carla Esparza winning by third round TKO. Suarez closed -450 while Esparza closed +330.

In a battle between prospects, Aljamain Sterling put on a great display for fans as he was forced to make Cody Stamann quit by second round knee bar. Sterling closed -190 with the return on Stamann +150.

Geoff Neal put on a tremendous striking display landing a tremendous left head kick in the second round to put away Frank Camacho in the second round. Neal closed -210. Camacho closed +170.

In a back and forth striking contest, Irena Aldana was the more composed fighter and did a good job landing leg kicks to win a split decision over Lucie Pudilova. Aldana closed -125 with Pudilova closing -105.

After dropping the opening round, Jarred Brooks dominated Roberto Sanchez over the final ten minutes to win a decision. Brooks closed -300 while Sanchez closed +235.

Underdogs that Won

Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley had no problem with challenger Darren Till as he gave the Englishman the first loss of his career when he submitted him in the second round. Woodley closed -110 with Till closing -120.

Darren Stewart landed a beautiful short elbow knocking back Charles Byrd and continued the onslaught to win by second round finish. Stewart closed +145. Byrd closed -175.

Diego Sanchez was able to take Craig White to the mat in all three rounds controlling top position to a unanimous decision. Sanchez closed +180 with the return on White -220.

Jim Miller dropped Alex White in the opening round and followed up on the ground to submit him via rear naked choke. Miller closed +145 while White closed -175.

Pickem Fighters That Won

In a pickem contest, Abdul Razak Alhassan was the fighter to land the big punch first as he knocked out Nico Price in the opening round. Both fighters closed -115.
