LFA 47 takes place at The Bomb Factory in Dallas, Texas on Friday (Aug. 10, 2018) at 9pm ET live on AXS TV. UFC veteran Damon Jackson faces Roufusport’s Nate Jennerman for the interim featherweight title with the winner likely fighting champion Kevin Aguilar next.
Jackson (15-2-1) has gone 6-1 since he was released from the UFC in 2016, with his lone loss coming against current featherweight kingpin Aguilar. The 29-year-old has finished his last four opponents. Jennerman (12-3) has won seven of his last eight fights, including a 48-second submission victory over Kevin Croom at LFA 41 in June. “Nasty” has only gone the distance once in his last six fights.

The co-main event is also in the featherweight division as Levi Mowles faces Charles Cheeks III.
Mowles (9-3) has won four of his last five fights with his only loss during that stretch to undefeated Miles Johns back at LFA 16. The 23-year-oold has finished his last two opponents and will be looking for a career high fourth straight win. Cheeks III (13-6) heads into this matchup off back-to-back wins including a unanimous decision victory over Rivaldo Junior at LFA 35. The 30-year-old has won six of his 13-career fights by submission.
Also on the card, former UFC welterweight Sean Spencer competes for the first time since June 2016 when he faces Bilal Williams in a welterweight matchup. Spencer (12-6) has lost three straight fights in the UFC to Catal Pendred, Mike Pyle and most recently Yancy Mederios at UFC 203. He will be looking for his first win since Sept. 2014. Williams (8-7) meanwhile has lost five of his last six fights.
UFC veteran William Macario makes his LFA debut against Evan Cutts in a welterweight bout. Macario (9-3) has gone 2-0 since he was released from the UFC in 2015, earning back-to-back wins in the Fight2Night promotion. The 27-year-old will be looking for his first three-fight win streak since June 2013. Cutts (9-3) has won three-straight and four of his last five. The 27-year-old is coming off a unniamous decision victory over previously undefeated Ramiz Brahimaj at LFA 40.
