DWTNCS Season 2 Week 6 Closing Odds and Betting Results

Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series Season 2 Week 6 took place on Tuesday, July 24. The card was headlined by a lightweight bout between Alex Munoz and Nick Newell.

Favorites that Won

It took a few minutes for Jim Crute to find a major opening, but he did so late in the first round as he finished Chris Birchler with a standing knockout earning a UFC contract. Crute closed -645 while Birchler closed +445.

Jeff Hughes landed a heavy upper cut on the feet which sent Josh Appelt to the mat towards the end of the first round to win by knockout. Hughes closed -310 with Appelt closing +240. With the knockout, Hughes earned a UFC contract.

After getting beat up in the opening round of the fight, 18 year old Chase Hooper dominated the final two rounds to win a decision over Canaan Kawaihae. Hooper closed -125 while Kawaihae +105. Hooper received a developmental contract with the victory.

Underdogs that Won

Sodiq Yusuff landed heavy punches throughout the fight which led to a decision victory over undefeated Mike Davis. Yusuff closed +190 while Davis closed -235. Yusuff impressed UFC matchmakers and earned a contract to the UFC.

Pickem Fighters that Won

Nick Newell was no match for Alex Munoz in this much anticipated fight as Munoz dominated from start to finish to win a decision. Both fighters closed -115.
