TUF 27 Closing Odds and Betting Results

The Ultimate Fighter 27 Finale took place Friday, July 6, 2018 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The card was headlined by a middleweight bout between Israel Adesanya and Brad Tavares.

Favorites that Won

Brad Katona had his way with Jay Cucciniello dominating all three round to win a dominant decision and TUF 27. Katona closed -275 with Cucciniello closing +225.

Alex Caceres was able to land a counter left hand throughout the fight to edge out Martin Bravo by split decision. Caceres closed -135 while Bravo closed +105.

Montana de la Rosa secured a takedown in the third round, taking the back, and earning a submission win over Racheal Ostovich. De la Rosa closed -156 with the return on Ostovich +126.

Luis Pena dominated Richie Smullen earning a first round submission for a victory in his UFC debut. Pena closed -389 while Smullen closed +309.

John Gunther bested a lackluster Allan Zuniga to win a majority decision. Gunther closed -126. Zuniga closed -104.

In a battle of talented featherweights, Bryce Mitchell edged out a majority decision over Tyler Diamond. Mitchell closed -140 while Diamond closed +110.

In typical Steven Peterson fashion, he fought from behind to sneak out a split decision win over Matt Bessette. Peterson closed -105 with the return on Bessette -125.

Underdogs that Won

Israel Adesanya out classed Brad Tavares on the feet for 25 minutes to win a dominant decision in his first ever UFC main event. Adesanya closed -110 while Tavares closed -120.

Mike Trizano was the aggressor throughout his fight with Joe Giannetti earning a split decision victory and winning The Ultimate Fighter 27. Trizano closed +126. Giannetti closed -156.

Roxanne Modafferi won the battle of positioning and was able to earn top position and ultimately full mat. From there, she used a variety of elbows to force the referee to step in and stop her fight with Barb Honchak. Modafferi closed +121 with the return on Honchak -151.

In a closely contested fight, Alessio Di Chirico edged out a split decision on the scorecards to earn a victory over Julian Marquez. Di Chirico closed +105. Marquez closed -135.

Gerald Meershaert came from behind to earn a second round submission over Oskar Piechota for his biggest win in the UFC. Meerschaert closed +170 while Piechota closed -215.
