Titan FC 50 Opening Odds

Titan FC 50 takes place Friday, June 29 at Xtreme Action Park in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The card takes place on UFC Fight Pass, and it is headlined by two title fights.

The main event sees Titan FC lightweight champion Raush Manfio attempt to make a second-straight title defense of his belt when he takes on challenger Sidney Outlaw. Manfio (11-2) is a 26-year-old native of Brazil who has racked up an impressive record of 5-1 in Titan FC. He actually competed on season four of The Ultimate Fighter Brazil, losing to Glaico Franca via submission on the show. Since then, though, he’s looked great in Titan FC with three wins by knockout including a brutal KO win over Chazz Walton that saw him capture the Titan FC lightweight belt. He defended his belt once with a decision nod over Lee Henry Lilly and will be looking to defend it once again here against Outlaw, who is making his Titan FC debut.

Outlaw (9-3) is a 26-year-old American who has racked up a wealth of experience in MMA in a short period of time, competing for promotions such as Bellator, WSOF, CFFC, Ring of Combat and Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series. In his last bout, he beat Michael Cora via decision on the Contender Series but was not offered a UFC contract. Outlaw has won four-straight fights, and hasn’t lost since a 2016 split decision defeat to current UFC standout Gregor Gillespie. This is a really good fight between two underrated fighters and the winner has a good chance to go to the UFC.

The co-main event sees Titan FC welterweight champion Jose Caceres take on challenger Uros Jurisic. Caceres (14-7) is a 31-year-old American who is unbeaten in his last four fights with three submission wins and a No Contest during that period. In his last bout, Caceres submitted Rami Hamed in the fifth round to win the vacant Titan FC welterweight title. His only loss since 2016 came against Niko Price, and he also lost to Colby Covington earlier in his career. But he also has a massive submission win over Kamaru Usman from back in 2013. Yes, Usman is a much different (and better) fighter now than he was then, but the fact Caceres holds a win over Usman is super impressive, and it makes Caceres an exciting prospect going forward as he’s the only man to ever hand Usman a loss in MMA. Also of note, Caceres was the last man to defeat former UFC fighter Corey Hill before he passed away.

Jurisic (7-0) is a 25-year-old native of Slovenia who has won two-straight fights in Titan FC. He actually competed on TUF 21: American Top Team vs. Blackzilians, but lost a decision to Luiz Firmino on the show. Since the show, he’s won three-straight fights to get this opportunity to fight for the Titan FC welterweight belt. Both Caceres and Jurisic are members of American Top Team which throws a wrench into this bout. I think both guys are really good prospects. Caceres is obviously more proven but Jurisic is someone with a ton of potential, and this should be a really good fight. The winner could definitely be in play for a UFC contract as well.

Those two title fights are in addition to a number of other intriguing bouts on the card, which has full odds out for it via Several Bookmakers.
