UFC on Fox 29 took place Saturday, April 14, 2018 in Glendale, Arizona. The card was headlined by a lightweight bout between Justin Gaethje and Dustin Poirier.

Favorites that Won In one of the best fights of 2018, Dustin Poirier and Justin Gaethje had a brawl. The tide turned in the fourth round when Poirier wobbled Gaethje. Poirier continued to pour on the strikes until Herb Dean stepped in to stop the bout. Poirier closed -124. Gaethje closed -106.
Alex Oliveira got into a war with Carlos Condit and was nearly submitted towards the end of round one. He caused a cut in round two which helped turn the tide in which Oliveira eventually submitted Condit. Oliveira closed -188 with the return on Condit +158.
Israel Adesanya out classed Marvin Vettori in the first two rounds before dropping the third round to win a clear decision on the scorecards. Adesanya closed -250 while Vettori closed +200.
Antonio Carlos Jr. had a major speed advantage on the feet against Tim Boetsch, but it was his grappling where he had a major advantage and was able to secure a rear naked choke in the first round. Carlos Jr. closed -249 with the return on Boetsch +199.
Muslim Salikhov earned his first UFC win by dropping Ricky Rainey and following up with brutal ground and pound to earn a second round knockout. Salikhov closed -210. Rainey closed +165.
Gilbert Burns landed a beautiful right hand that sent Dan Moret crumbling to the canvas for a second round knockout victory. Burns closed -645 while Moret closed +465.
Lauren Mueller landed the bigger strikes on the feet to earn a decision victory over Shana Dobson. Mueller closed -160 with the return on Dobson +130.
Yushin Okami went to his bread and butter securing takedowns and dominating Dhiego Lima on the mat to earn a decision win. Okami closed -125 while Lima closed +105.
Combining an aggressive approach on the feet and an ability to stuff takedowns to earn a decision victory over Patrick Williams. Sanders closed -484. Williams closed +364.
Underdogs that Won In a very close fight, Michelle Waterson edged out a split decision win over Cortney Casey. Waterson closed +141 while Casey closed -171.
John Moraga out struck Wilson Reis on the feet and had to survive a lot of time on the ground in the final round to earn a decision victory. Moraga closed -111. Reis closed -119.
Brad Tavares found the better of the striking against Krzysztof Jotko landing a heavy punch in the third round and following up with strikes on the ground to earn the finish. Tavares closed +105 while Jotko closed -135.
Despite losing the opening round significantly and a poor start to round two, Adam Wieczorek was able to latch on an omoplata off his back to stun Arjan Bhullar to earn a second round submission win. Wieczorek closed +265 with the return on Bhullar -345.
Pickem’ Fighters that Won After a rough first round, Alejandro Perez was able to hurt Matthew Lopez in the second round. Perez continued to land punches on the feet forcing the referee to stop the fight. Both flighters closed -115.
