I see it as being more of a coin-flip, and I slightly favor the Canadian with advantages in size and power to get his hand raised here in his Octagon debut. It is worth noting that Bosse is dropping down from the light heavyweight division to the 185-pounds for this contest, while Santos’ is still recognized by many as a natural welterweight. I was initially eyeing Oliveira for a parlay, but after doing my homework on the contest, I am liking Merritt and think that he has a decent chance of winning this fight. I think it will come down to his takedown defense, and if it holds up, I see him doing enough to take a decision on the judges’ scorecards, though it may be very close. At these odds, I think the value is with the promotional newcomer, and I like him for a play.
