Jeremy Stephens recovered well from being dropped in round one to dropping his opponent, Josh Emmett, in the second round following up with bruising ground and pound to win by knockout in the night’s main event. Stephens closed -130 with the return on Emmett +110.
In one of the best bouts of the year thus far, Tecia Torres gave Jessica Andrade a heck of a fight, but Andrade’s strength was just too much as she utilized a big third round to secure a decision victory in the number one contender bout. Andrade closed -240 while Torres closed +195.
Angela Hill landed the bigger punches, while Maryna Moroz threw more punches. The judges rewarded the more powerful strikes as Hill was awarded the decision. Hill closed -160. Moroz closed +130.
In an action packed contest between former training partners, Alan Jouban landed a huge left hand that floored Ben Saunders in the second round to give Jouban the knockout win. Jouban closed -250 with the return on Saunders +210.
Rani Yahya completely dominated Russell Doane securing takedowns in all three rounds culminating with a head and arm choke submission in the third round to close out victory. Yahya closed -210 while Doane closed +180.
Manny Bermudez struggled in the opening round of his UFC debut, but was able to latch in a choke in the second round to submit Albert Morales. Bermudez closed -180. Morales closed +150.
Underdogs that Won
Ilir Latifi dropped Ovince St. Preux and latched in a guillotine choke to earn the biggest win of his career. Latifi closed +145. St. Preux closed -165.
Max Griffin earned the biggest win of his career battering Mike Perry to win by unanimous decision. Griffin closed +270 with the return on Perry -320.
Buoyed by a huge end to the fight in which he almost had his opponent out on the feet, Brian Kelleher took a decision over former champion Renan Barao. Kelleher closed +145 while Barao closed -165.
After dropping Sara McMann in the second round, the fight went to the ground allowing Marion Reneau to latch on a triangle choke to earn a submission victory. Reneau closed +165 with the return on McMann -190.
Sam Alvey dropped Marcin Prachnio in the first round. When Prachnio got back to his feet, Alvey landed a check right hook sending Prachnio crumbling to the canvas forcing the referee to step in to give Alvey the win. Alvey closed a +180 underdog while Prachnio closed -213.
Alex Perez out worked Eric Shelton securing takedowns in all three rounds to win a decision. Perez closed +100 while Shelton closed -130.
