Main Card Parlay for UFC Fight Night 126

UFC Fight Night 126: Cowboy vs. Medeiros
Date: February 18
Arena: Frank Erwin Center
City: Austin, TX

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is headed back to Austin, TX for the third time in promotional history with UFC Fight Night 126: Cowboy vs. Medeiros. The 12 fight card is scheduled to kick off with preliminary action on UFC Fight Pass at 6:30 p.m. ET. Prelims will continue on FOX Sports 1 at 7 p.m. and the main card will get going on the same channel at 9 p.m.

Here is my parlay:

Lightweight bout: James Vick (-230) vs. Francisco Trinaldo (+190)

Gabe’s Thoughts: At this point in their careers, I believe Vick is the superior mixed martial artist of the two heading into this matchup. I see him getting the better of Trinaldo both on the feet and on the mat in this contest, and I think he will have the edge in cardio, as well, which should benefit him in the three round contest. I think there’s a good chance that Vick catches Trinaldo and puts him away in this bout, but if it does hit the judges’ scorecards for a decision, I think he will have done enough to earn the nod. I think Vick is worth playing at -230 here, considering I think he should be between a -300 and -350 betting favorite in this contest.

Gabe’s Call: Vick by T/KO (strikes, 4:35 round 1)

Lightweight bout: Sage Northcutt (-305) vs. Thibault Gouti (+253)

Gabe’s Thoughts: I think Northcutt holds value at his current asking price of -305, as I think he should be a -450 betting favorite heading into this 155 pound matchup scheduled for three rounds. I believe he is by far the superior striker, and on the mat, I could see him getting the better of Gouti. I do expect this fight to stay on the feet, where I see Northcutt outstriking Gouti, likely for a T/KO victory. I think a finish is more likely, but if the fight does hit the judges’ scorecards for a decision, I think Northcutt easily takes the nod.

Gabe’s Call: Northcutt by T/KO (strikes, 1:44 round 1)

Gabe’s Recommended Parlay: Vick (-230) and Northcutt (-305) at -111 for 10u to win 9.05u
