Matchup with Maia Kahaunaele-Stevenson

Polyana Viana makes her UFC debut against fellow debutant Maia Stevenson. On the feet, both of these fighters like to stand and throw. They both have decent pop in their hands and can hurt opponents with power shots. The biggest difference is on the mat. Stevenson can be controlled and beat up on the ground. On the flip side, Viana has excellent submissions and is always looking to secure submissions in scrambles and on the ground. This fight is a mismatch and one Viana should win by finish. Viana by finish is the most likely result of this fight and is worth consideration at +110.

UFC Ceiling

Polyana Viana is a fighter who has the offensive tools to do well in the UFC. She has significant power for the weight class and a good submission game. She needs to round out her skill set and prove her ability against better competition, but she has enough to do well in the UFC right away.
