Velasquez hopes to return at UFC 226

During an appearance on the MMA Hour Monday, former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez discussed his health and stated he'd like to return at UFC 226, the event his teammate Daniel Cormier is headlining in a champion vs champion bout against Stipe Miocic. Velasquez has not fought since July of 2016 and was declared medically unfit to compete by the Nevada State Athletic Commission in late 2016, which cancelled a planned rematch against Fabricio Werdum.
