Five Props is a column featured on MMAOddsbreaker.com after every major MMA event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card. Here are five UFC 220 prop bets that cashed big based on the closing odds at Several Bookmakers.
1) Calvin Kattar by Knockout (+1590) In what will certainly be one of the top prop cashes in 2018, Calvin Kattar not only beat undefeated Shane Burgos, but was able to finish him in the third round. Kattar was a 3 to 1 underdog heading into round three, but saved his best for last getting the best of Burgos. Kattar by knockout paid out at massive +1590 odds.
2) Stipe Miocic by Decision (+966) Stipe Miocic successfully defending his UFC title against Francis Ngannou wasn’t a complete surprise, but what was that the fight went a full 25 minutes. For those brave enough to back Miocic needing 25 minutes and the judges to beat Ngannou, they were rewarded with a +966 winner.
3) Islam Makhachev by Knockout (+425) In perhaps the most impressive performance of UFC 220, Islam Makhachev made quick work of Gleison Tibau knocking him out inside of one minute of the first round. Makhachev by knockout closed at +425. After this performance, don’t expect to see Makachev KO props to be priced this high again.
4) Daniel Cormier by Knockout (+308) The light heavyweight champion put an end to Volkan Oezdemir’s rise to contendership as he out worked Oezdemir and forcing the referee to step in as Cormier was landing ground and pound. Those that backed a Cormier KO/TKO finish received a +308 payout.
5) Kyle Bochniak by Decision (+260) In the preliminary headliner, Kyle Bochniak edged Brandon Davis in his hometown to win a decision. Bochniak by decision bettors won out at +260.
A $100 parlay on these five props would have netted $1,389,104.
