MMAOddsBreaker.com’s Submission of the Month for December 2017 goes to UFC featherweight Brian “T-City” Ortega at UFC Fight Night 123 in Fresno, CA on December 3rd.
Brian Ortega capitalized in his first ever main event slot in the UFC, as he took on perennial contender Cub Swanson and defeated him via guillotine choke submission in the second round of action. He nearly finished Swanson with the choke at the end of the opening round, but Swanson was saved by the bell. There was nothing to save him in the second round when Ortega jumped for the choke. He corrected his position beautifully mid-air and earned the tap from Swanson, ultimately remaining undefeated as a pro and earning Fight of the Month honors from us at MMA OddsBreaker.
