UFC 219 Closing Odds and Betting Results

UFC 219 took place Saturday, December 30, 2017 in Las Vegas, Nevada. The card was headlined by a women’s featherweight title bout between Cris Cyborg and Holly Holm.

Favorites that Won

Cris Cyborg had a significant power advantage over Holly Holm as that was the difference in a 25 minute title fight fought exclusively on the feet. Cyborg won by decision to retain her title. Cyborg closed -325 with the return on Holm +265.

Khabib Nurmagomedov mauled Edson Barboza throughout all three rounds to win a wide decision on the scorecards. Nurmagomedov closed -410 while Barboza closed +330.

Myles Jury was able to take Rick Glenn to the mat with regularity to win a decision. Jury closed -175. Glenn closed +155.

Mattheus Nicolau knocked down Louis Smolka multiple times in their flyweight fight to take a big lead in the fight and ultimately a wide decision on the scorecards. Nicolau closed -200 with the return on Smolka +170.

Tim Elliott was able to get Mark De La Rosa to the mat early and often in this bout. It was a one sided contest in which Elliott secured a submission win in the second round. Elliott closed -190 while De La Rosa closed +165. 

Underdogs that Won

Dan Hooker outclassed Marc Diakiese securing an opportunistic guillotine choke in the third round to get the win. Hooker closed +175 while Diakiese closed -190. 

After dropping the opening round, Carla Esparza responded well outworking Cynthia Calvillo in the final two rounds to win a decision. The former strawweight champion closed +180 while Calvillo closed -220.

Neil Magny used his length well to outland Carlos Condit as well as secure takedowns to earn a decision win over the former title challenger. Magny closed +110 with the return on Condit -130.

Michal Oleksiejczuk took advantage of a tired Khalil Rountree securing the fight in the third round with a takedown and top control. Oleksiejczuk closed +300. Rountree closed -360.

Fights that Ended in a Draw

Omari Akhmedov edged Marvin Vettori in the first two rounds, but a big round from Vettori in the third round saw the fight end in a draw. Vettori closed -270 with the return on Akhmedov +230.
