UFC officials confirmed Monday that the welterweight matchup pitting Kamaru Usman vs. Emil Meek scheduled for UFC 219 on Dec. 30 has been moved to the UFC Fight Night 124 card in St. Louis on Jan. 14. VISA issues for Meek were the main factor in this matchup being moved
Usman (11-1) hasn’t lost a fight since May 2015 and has gone a perfect 6-0 inside the octagon. The 30-year-old is coming off a first-round knockout victory over Sérgio Moraes at UFC Fight Night 116. Meek (9-2, 1 NC) hasn’t competed since a unanimous decision victroy over Jordan Mein in his UFC debut back at UFC 206 in December 2016. “Valhalla” is riding a four-fight win streak.
