Glory 49 takes place at Rotterdam Ahoy in Rotterdam, ZH Saturday (Dec 9, 2017) at 3:30pm ET on ESPN 3 for the Main Event and 6 p.m. (ET) on UFC Fight Pass for the Super Fights. In the main event, GLORY heavyweight champion Rico Verhoeven will rematch Jamal Ben Saddik
Verhoeven (52-10-1) has won 13 straight fights inside the GLORY ring, including five title defenses. The 28-year-old is comign off at TKO victory over UFC veteran Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva at GLORY 46: China. Saddik (33-6) heads into this title fight on a four-fight win streak including a unanimous decision win over uto Inocente at Glory 39: Brussels in his last bout. The 6-foot-9 juggenaught hasn’t lost a fight since November 2015.
In the co-feature, Danyo Ilunga look to snap a seven-fight win streak when he takes on Michael Duut. Illguna (57-13) hasn’t won a fight since April 2015 and has lost all of his matchups during his losing streak by decision. Duut (43-9-1) heads into this matchup off back-to-back wins including a 12-second knockout win over Manny Mancha at Glory 45 in September. The 27-year-old is 2-2 in his last four fights.
