Five Props is a column featured on MMAOddsbreaker.com after every major MMA event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card. Here are five UFC 218 prop bets that cashed big based on the closing odds at Several Bookmakers.
1) Dominick Reyes by Submission (+650) It was no surprise that Dominick Reyes won his match with Jeremy Kimball. He was a -525 favorite heading into the bout and tied with Amanda Cooper as the biggest favorite on the card. However, the method in which he won was certainly a surprise. Reyes was expected to knockout Kimball, but instead was able to take him to the mat and submit him. Reyes by submission was the biggest prop winner on the card at +650.
2) Yancy Medeiros by T/KO (+580) After being nearly knocked out multiple times in his fight with Alex Oliveira, Yancy Medeiros was able to turn the cards and finish off the Brazilian in the third round. For those bettors wise enough to bet on the T/KO prop, they were rewarded with a +580 winner.
3) Amanda Cooper by T/KO (+480) Fighting in her hometown, Amanda Cooper had something to prove to family and friends in attendance as she dominated her bout with Angela Magana from start to finish. In the second round, Cooper had top position throughout and was landing strikes at will on the ground forcing referee Keith Peterson to call a stop to the action. Cooper T/KO backers were rewarded with a +480 winner.
4) Eddie Alvarez by T/KO (+415) Alvarez was engaged in a war with Justin Gaethje. In a fight that looked like it was destined to go to a decision, Alvarez landed a flush knee with just over a minute to go in the fight to win by TKO. Congratulations to those bettors who not only bet on the underdog Eddie Alvarez, but to do so T/KO and score a +415 prize.
5) Paul Felder by T/KO (+270) Felder earned the biggest win of his career by getting a TKO victory over Brazilian jiu jitsu ace Charles Oliveira.. Congrats to those who took Felder to defeat “Do Bronx” by T/KO here, as that prop paid out at a nice +270.
A $100 parlay on these five props would have netted $563,547.
