UFC 218 took place Saturday, December 2, 2017 in Detroit, Michigan. The card was headlined by a featherweight title bout between current champion Max Holloway and former champion Jose Aldo.

Favorites that Won In a rematch from their bout earlier in 2017, Max Holloway had similar success against Jose Aldo. After a relatively close start to the bout, Aldo began to tire and Holloway took over the bout getting the finish late in the third round. Holloway closed -260 with the return on Aldo +220.
Francis Ngannou earned the biggest win of his career flooring Alistair Overeem in the opening round of their contest. Ngannou closed -230 while Overeem closed +210.
Henry Cejudo had little trouble with Sergio Pettis securing three takedowns taking a unanimous decision. Cejudo closed -320. Pettis closed +260.
In a fight that was even heading into the final round, Tecia Torres out worked Michelle Waterson to earn a decision victory and move one step closer to a title shot. Torres closed -250 while Waterson closed +210.
David Teymur outclassed Drakkar Klose on the feet to win a decision and earn his fourth straight win in the UFC. Teymur closed -130 with the return on Klose +110.
Felice Herrig edged out Cortney Casey in a split decision victory in which there was very little to separate the two fighters. Herrig closed -115. Casey closed -105.
Amanda Cooper dominated a one-sided affair against Angela Magana forcing Keith Peterson to step in towards the end of the second round as Magana was not defending herself and give Cooper the victory. Cooper closed -525 with the return on Magana +415.
Abdul Razak Alhassan and Sabah Homasi went toe to toe in a tremendous one round slug fest. The fight was stopped prematurely when Homasi dropped after a punch with Alhassan being awarded the win. Alhassan closed -265. Homasi closed +225.
After an initial blitz by Jeremy Kimball, Dominic Reyes took over the fight and secured a first round submission to earn his second UFC win. Reyes closed -525 while Kimball closed +415.
Justin Willis was in complete control against debutant Allen Crowder and finished him with a left hand midway through the opening round. Willis closed -230 with the return on Crowder +190.
Underdogs that Won In one of the most exciting slug fests that has ever graced the Octagon, Eddie Alvarez finished Justin Gaethje with a knee in the third round to give Gaethje his first career loss. Alvarez closed +150 with the return on Gaethje -170.
Paul Felder was dominant in his win over Charles Oliveira securing a second round stoppage with elbows from ground and pound. Felder closed +115 while Oliveira closed -135.
Yancy Medeiros won one of the best fights of the year as he knocked out Alex Oliveira in the third round in what was a wild, back and forth contest. Medeiros closed +320 with the return on Oliveira -390.
