The finals of The Ultimate Fighter Season 26 were determined last night as 12-seed Sijara Eubanks defeated veteran Roxanne Modaferri via unanimous decision in the last semifinal round. She will face 14-seeded Nicco Montano, who beat former Invicta champion Barb Honchak in the other semifinal round on last week’s episode.
Eubanks and Montano will duke it out Friday night with the winner crowned the inaugural UFC Women’s Flyweight Champion.
Update: Eubanks was hospitalized earlier today after having issues with her weight cut for the title fight. She has been replaced by the number one seed of the show, Roxanne Modafferi. Modaferri vs Montano will now decide the inaugural UFC flyweight champion. Modaferri was originally slated to fight former Invicta flyweight champion Barb Honchak on the main card. Honchak will instead take on Lauren Murphy, who’s original opponent was unable to compete on the card due to visa issues.
Multiple other bouts were recently announced featuring competitors from the recent TUF season including Rachael Ostovich vs Karine Gevorgyan and DeAnna Bennett vs Melinda Fabian.
