ONE Championship: Warriors of the World takes place at Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand Saturday (Dec. 9, 2017) at 7 a.m. (ET). Strawweight champion Yoshitaka Naito defends his title against Alex Silva in the main event
Naito (12-0) hasn’t fought since October 2016 when he submitted Joshua Pacio at ONE Championship: State of Warriors. The 33-year-old heads into this matchup off back-to-back submission victories. Silva (6-1) competes for the third time this year and has won his last four-fights by submission. The 35-year-old will be competing for the first championship of his career.
In the co-main event Bangkok native Shannon Wiratchai faces Russian fighter Rasul Yakhyaev. Wiratchai (8-1) has finished his last four opponents, including a 29-second knockout over Rajinder Singh Meena at ONE Championship: Kings and Conquerors in August. “One Shin” hasn’t lost a fight since April 2013. Yakhyaev (10-6, 1 NC) is on a three-fight skid and competes for ONE Championship for the first time since December 2015. The 26-year-old will be looking for his first win since March 2016.
