While the eyes of the MMA world will be transfixed on Las Vegas for UFC 162 come Saturday night, there is another event that fans can use as an appetizer in the afternoon (if you’re in North America). Cage Warriors returns to action this weekend with Cage Warriors 56, live from London, England. The main event of the card is a welterweight battle between the well-rounded Vincent del Guerra, and the heavy hitting Bola Omoyele. A featherweight bout between longtime UK MMA vet Robbie Olivier and Patrik Berisha is second on the docket, while names like Graham Turner and Brad Wheeler — who are familiar to fans of the Cage Warriors promotion — also appear on the card. Today, MMA oddsmaker Nick Kalikas opened the betting lines for Cage Warriors 56 at Several Bookmakers. Take a look: ——————– Bola Omoyele -300 Vincent del Guerra +220 Robbie Olivier -310 Patrik Berisha +230 Denniston Sutherland -180 Brett Bassett +140 Graham Turner -230 Nad Narimani +170 ——————– Brad’s Analysis: This seems like a card that is going to be parlayed heavily with UFC 162, and in some cases I agree with that, others not so much. In the main event, Bola Omoyele has a fair amount of hype behind him, and I think his line will get pushed up because of that, but I’m not sure the line should go much further than it already is. Del Guerra is no superstar, but he is dangerous standing and on the ground, while Omoyele is a much more one-dimensional fighter. Olivier and Turner are two guys who should win their fights, and are the more well-known qualities, but be wary if parlaying them, as neither guy is a lock. The vast experience edge both guys have should give them an advantage although each have struggled against strong submission grapplers at points in their careers.
