Full UFC Fight Night 119 Betting Odds

This weekend, the Octagon heads to Brazil for the third time in 2017 and in doing so welcomes back a former champion for the first time in over two years. Lyoto Machida will be attempting to avoid the first three-fight losing streak of his career as he takes on Derek Brunson in the main event of UFC Fight Night 119. Machida’s last two outings were rather brutal stoppage losses to Luke Rockhold and Yoel Romero, so while a two-year drug suspension wasn’t ideal, the layoff was probably a good thing considering the damage he’s taken.

Brunson was in the same boat as Machida in his last outing. After losing to Robert Whittaker and Anderson Silva, he picked up a quick TKO victory against Dan Kelly to get back on track. A victory against Machida would be the biggest of his career, and would put him back into contendership in the middleweight division.

UFC Fight Night 119 also features Brazilians in every fight down the card. The most notable among those names are Demian Maia and John Lineker. In Maia’s first bout since his failed title challenge, he will be tasked with a grappler who has been dominant in his own right, Colby Covington. Lineker makes his first appearance in 2017 and takes on the surging Marlon Vera.

The remaining three main card bouts pit Pedro Munhoz against Rob Font, Francisco Trinaldo against Jim Miller, and Thiago Santos against Jack Hermansson. MMA oddsmaker Nick Kalikas recently opened the betting lines for those main card bouts at Several Bookmakers, and today completed the full slate of odds for the card which includes six preliminary bouts.

The most intriguing of those matches is in the welterweight division, as undefeated Niko Price heads to Brazil to face Vicente Luque, who had his four-fight win streak snapped earlier this year. Antonio Carlos Junior hopes to build on his 4-1 middleweight record as he play host to Jack Marshman in the Welshman’s first fight in South America. The other preliminary bout which could have some ramifications is in the flyweight division, as undefeated prospects Jarred Brooks and Deiveson Alcantara have a chance to jump up the ladder in a division starved of fresh contenders.
