The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is headed to Gdasnk, Poland for the first time in promotional history with UFC Fight Night 118: Cerrone vs. Till. Here is my parlay:
Featherweight bout: Andre Fili (-170) vs. Artem Lobov (+150)
Gabe’s Thoughts: I think Fili is the superior mixed martial artist of the two heading into this 145-pound contest, and I see him getting the better of Lobov both on the feet and on the mat en route to a unanimous decision victory on the judges’ scorecards. While I do favor a decision victory over the Team Alpha Male product, as Lobov is extremely tough to put away, I do think Fili is capable of getting the job done, as he did against Gabriel Benitez, who is also a tough out at 145-pounds. I think this is a good spot for Fili to pick up a win and get back into the win column following a recent setback against promotional newcomer Calvin Kattar.
Gabe’s Call: Fili by Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)
Women’s Bantamweight bout: Aspen Ladd (-235) vs. Lina Lansberg (+195)
Gabe’s Thoughts: I really like Ladd in this matchup. I got her at -185, but I think she still holds tremendous value at her current offering price of -235, as I think she should be at least a -350 betting favorite heading into this 135-pound contest. I think she will get the better of Lansberg everywhere, and I expect her to take the fight to the mat and dominate there, until eventually finding a submission finish. I could see her getting a ground and pound TKO stoppage, as well, but I favor the submission. I believe Ladd will impress in her UFC debut and remain undefeated in her career.
