Five Props that Cashed Big at UFC 216

Five Props is a column featured on MMAOddsbreaker.com after every major MMA event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card. Here are five UFC Fight Night 117 prop bets that cashed big based on the closing odds at Several Bookmakers.

1) Beneil Dariush vs. Evan Dunham is a Draw (+8500)

Dariush and Dunham battled it out for three rounds for a Majority Draw. Dariush badly hurt Dunham in the opening frame and nearly had him out of there, but Dunham came back strong in the second and third to edge out the rounds. The judges gave Dariush a 10-8 for the first round, which resulted in a draw. It was a very fun scrap, and if if anybody was lucky enough to take a gamble on this, congratulations are in order, as it paid out at a ridiculous +8500.

2) Lando Vannata vs. Bobby Green is a Draw (+7500)

Vannata and Green scrapped it out for 15 minutes to a split draw in this 155-pound contest. Vannata had Green badly hurt in the first round and had him nearly finished, but he made the mistake of throwing an illegal knee while Green was down, which forced the referee to stop the action and deduct a point from Vannata, while giving Green some time to recover. The rest of the bout was back and forth entertainment that saw Vannata getting the better of most exchanges. When all was said and done, the fight was scored a draw and those who wagered on that made out with a +7500 ticket. If you were lucky enough to take that, congratulations!

3) John Moraga by T/KO (+1345)

Moraga scored arguably the biggest win of his career by knocking out highly-touted undefeated prospect Magomed Bibulatov inside the opening round of action. It was an impressive outing by Moraga, who now enjoys a two-fight winning streak inside the Octagon. Congratulations are due to those who wagered on him to stop Bibulatov by strikes, as the prop paid out at a massive +1345!

4) Mara Romero Borella by Submission (+1225)

Borella earned a first round rear naked choke submission victory over fellow promotional newcomer Kalindra Faria and she now enjoys a six-fight winning streak. She quickly took Faria down and it did not take long for her to take her back and sink in the choke for the tap. She gained some new fans with that performance, who look forward to seeing her back inside the Octagon, sooner rather than later. If you were wise enough to take a shot at Borella winning this fight by submission, then congratulations to you, as the prop paid out at an incredible +1225!

5) Matt Schnell by Decision (+370)

Schnell defeated Marco Beltran via unanimous decision on the judges’ scorecards to snap his two-fight losing skid inside the Octagon. Congratulations are due to those who wagered on him to do so, as it paid out at a solid +370.

A $100 parlay on these five props would have netted $588,157,383; the biggest in the history of this article.
