At the beginning of every month, I feature my recurring “Veteran Watch” article, which takes a look at some notable veterans competing on the regional/overseas circuit. In this article, I recap how these veteran fighters fared in their respective bouts for the month of October.

Dominique Steele def. Portland Pringle III via Unanimous Decision
Steele snaps his three-fight skid in his first fight up at 185-pounds since March 2013. Meanwhile Pringle III (who replaced Daniel Vizcaya) has now lost three straight fights.
Pancrase 290 – October 8th (Tokyo, Japan)
Akira Okada def. Akihiro Gono by unanimous decision
Gono has now lost three of his last four fights while Okada has now won three of his last four fights.
Hatsu Hioki (29-10-2) vs. Hiroyuki Takaya (21-14-2)
Takaya snaps a three-fight losing streak while Hioki has now lost back-to-back fights by knockout.
ACB 72 – October 14th (Montreal, Quebec)
Yoni Sherbatov def. Zach Makovsky via Unanimous Decision
Sherbatov remains undefeated in his career while UFC veteran Makovsky drops to 1-4 in his last five fights.
Jesse Ronson def. Jeremie Capony via Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 1:20, RD.2
Former UFC lightweight Ronson earns his third straight win while Tristar product Capony has now lost back-to-back fights.
Thiago Tavares (21-7-1) vs. Adlan Bataev (7-1-0)
Bout cancelled due to an injury to Tavares.
RIZIN World GP 2017 – Autumn: aki no Jin – October 15th (Fukukoa,Japan)
Gabriel Oliveria def. Tatsuya Kawajiri via TKO (Knee) RD. 2
Kawajiri drops to 1-4 in his last five fights while Oliveiria earns his fifth win by stoppage in 10-career fights.
KSW 40 – October 22nd (Dublin, Ireland)
Mariusz Pudzianowski def. Jay Silva via Majority Decision
Pudzianowski defeated UFC veteran Jay Silva for his third-straight win. The Polish fighter was slated to face UFC veteran McSweeney however the TUF alum wasn’t cleared by medical doctors.
Norman Parke vs. Mateusz Gamrot – No Contest
Gamrot has remains undefeated in his career while Parke is without a win in his second-straight fight.
