Rizin FF 7 takes place at Marine Messe Fukuoka in Fukuoka, Japan Sunday (October 15, 2017) at 1 a.m. EST. This card features the opening round of both the men’s bantamweight and women’s atomweight grand prix tournaments.
The most notable matchup on the card is actually a wild card bout, pitting former UFC featherweight Tatsuya Kawajiri against Gabriel Oliveira. Kawajiri (36-11-2) looks for back-to-back wins for the first time since 2015 and is coming off a unanimous decision win over fellow UFC veteran Anthony Birchak. The win snapped Kawajiri’s three-fight losing streak. Oliveira (9-0) will be making his promotional debut and has won four of his nine career wins by stoppage.
