MMA Odds and Ends for Thursday: Carlos Condit faces Neil Magny at UFC 219

UFC officials announced Wednesday that former UFC title challenger Carlos Condit will face Neil Magny at UFC 219 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas on Dec. 30.

Condit (30-10) hasn’t competed since a first-round submission loss to Demain Maia at UFC on FOX 21 in August 2016. The 33-year-old will be looking for his first win since May 2015. Magny (19-6) has gone 4-3 in his last seven fights, including a submission loss to Rafael Dos Anjos last month at UFC 215. Here’s an updated look at the card.

Augusto Mendes injured, Boston Salmon needs new opponent for UFC Sao Paulo

According to Combat, Augusto Mendes has suffered a left tibia injury and is out of his fight against Boston Salmon and UFC Fight NIght Sao Paulo on Oct. 28. As a result the UFC is looking for a replacement opponent for Salmon.
