MMA Odds and Ends for Wednesday: PFL: Washington D.C rounds out it’s main card

Pro Fight League (formally WSOF) announced a number of new match ups on Tuesday for their PFL: Washington D.C card which takes place Thursday, Nov. 2, at the Washington Hilton in Washington D.C. Former WSOF featherweight champion Lance Palmer takes on UFC veteran Steven Siler.

Palmer (11-3) dropped his featherweight championship to Andre Harrison earlier this year, which was his second loss in his last three fights. The Team Alpha Male standout has never lost back-to-back fights in his career. Siler (29-16) is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Hakeem Dawodu at WSOF 35 and has also lost two of his last three fights. The 30-year-old has gone the distance in three of his last four fights. Here’s an updated look at the card.

Aspen Ladd vs. Lina Lansberg set for UFC Fight Night 118

UFC officials announced Tuesday that Aspen Ladd will finally make her UFC debut against Lina Lansberg at UFC Fight Night 118 on Oct. 21 at Ergo Arena in Gdansk, Poland.

Ladd (5-0) was slated to face Jessica Eye at The Ultimate Fighter Finale this past July however an illness forced her off the event just hours before the fight. The 22-year-old has stopped four of her five career opponents. Lansberg (7-2) is coming off her first UFC victory when she defeated Lucie Pudilova at UFC Fight Night 107. The 35-year-old has won seven of her last eight fights. Here’s an updated look at the card.

Pat Curran vs. John Teixeira slated for Bellator 184

Bellator officials announced Tuesday that former featherweight champion Pat Curran will face John Teixeira at Bellator 184 on Oct. 6 in Thackerville, Okla.

Curran (22-7) heads into this matchup off back-to-back victories over Emmanuel Sanchez and Georgi Karakhanyan. The 30-year-old was slated to fight Teixiera at Bellator 167 last December however an injury forced him off the card. “Paddy Mike” competes for the first time since May 2016. Teixeira (21-2-2) had his 11-fight unbeaten streak snapped in his last bout when he suffered a split decision loss to Daniel Weichel at Bellator 177. The 30-year-old has never lost two-straight fights in his career. Here’s an updated look at the card.
