At the beginning of every month, I feature my recurring “Veteran Watch” article, which takes a look at some notable veterans competing on the regional/overseas circuit. In this article, I recap how these veteran fighters fared in their respective bouts for the month of September.

Ben Askren def. Zebaztian Kadestam via TKO (Punches) at 4:09, RD. 2
Askren keeps his 17-0 undefeated record in place while Kadestam drops to 2-3 in his last five fights.
Rebel FC 6: China vs. The World – September 2nd
Wenbo Liu def. Shannon Rich via TKO
Liu has now won two of his last three fights while Rich is now 1-5 in his last six fights.
LFA 22 – September 8th (Broomfield, Colorado)
Gilbert Smith def. Ben Smith via Submission (Choke) at 4:16, RD. 2
TUF 25’s Smith earns his first win since October 2015 in his retirement fight while Smith has now lost back-to-back fights.
TKO 40: Denouement – September 8th (Montreal, Quebec)
Strahinja Gavrilovic def. Maiquel Falcao via TKO at 5:00, RD. 2
Gavrilovic earned his second straight win while Falcao has now lost two of his last three fights.
Fight Night Medicine Hat 4 – September 9th (Medicine Hat, Alberta)
Jesse Arnett def. Johnny Bedford via Majority Decision
Arnett pushes his winning streak to 10-straight while Bedford has now lost back-to-back fights.
Joe Riggs def. Shonie Carter via TKO at 4:54, RD. 2
Former UFC title challenger Riggs came away with his fifth win in a row while Carter has now lost five of his last six fights.
Chris Kelades def. Keegan Oliver via Unanimous Decision
Kelades earned back-to-back wins for the first time since 2014 while Oliver has his three-fight win streak snapped.
Sarah Kaufman (18-4) vs. Montserrat Alvarez (3-3)
Bout cancelled due to Alvarez not being cleared to fight in Canada.
Pro FC 63 – September 10th
Konstantin Gluhov def. Rodney Wallace via TKO (Punches) RD 2.
UFC veteran Wallace has now lost four-straight fights. Meanwhile Gluhov has won four of his last five fights.
Next Level Fight Club – September 16th (North Carolina)
Alex Nicholson def. Demoreo Dennis via TKO (Punches) RD 1.
Former UFC middleweight Nicholson snaps a two-fight skid, while Dennis has now lost back-to-back fights.
M-1 Challenge 83: Ragozin vs Halsey – September 23rd
Brandon Halsey def. Mikhail Ragozin via Unanimous Decision
Former Bellator middleweight champion Halsey snapped a three-fight skid while Ragozin has his two-fight win streak snapped.
ACB 68 – September 23rd (Sheffield, England)
Scott Askham def. Luke Barnatt via Split Decision
Askham earns his first win since his UFC release while Barnatt has now lost two of his last three fights.
Unified MMA 32 – September 29th (Edmonton, Alberta)
Shane Campbell def. Mike Scarcello via Submission (Rear-Naked Choke) at 4:01, RD. 2
Campbell has now won three-straight fights by stoppage since his UFC release. Meanwhile Scarcello has his six-fight win streak snapped.
