UFC 215: Nunes vs Shevchenko 2

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will be in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada for the first time in promotional history with UFC 215: Nunes vs Shevchenko. The 11-fight card will kick off with preliminary action on UFC Fight Pass at 6:30 p.m. ET, and prelims will continue on FOX Sports 1 at 8 p.m., with the main card getting underway at 10 p.m. on Pay-Per-View. Here are my prop plays…
Tyson Pedro (-135) vs. Ilir Latifi (+125)
Pedro by Decision (+600)
I see tremendous value in this betting line, as I think it is the most likely outcome to this light heavyweight matchup. Pedro is in fact a finisher, but contrary to popular opinion, I favor him to earn a victory in this bout on the judges’ scorecards more often than by finish. I think Latifi would be very tough for Pedro to submit, but I could see him finding a T/KO, although I think outpointing and outworking the Lebanese-Swede for the majority of three rounds of action for a decision nod is the most likely road to victory here.
Sara McMann (-210) vs. Ketlen Vieira (+190)
Vieira Inside the Distance (+675)
I think it is more or less a coin-flip whether Vieira wins this fight inside the distance or on the judges’ scorecards, so I see a lot of value in the Inside the Distance prop at +675, even though I slightly lean towards a decision for my official pick for the fight. She is a live dog and I think she is capable of earning her first finish inside the Octagon in this contest, which would also mark the biggest victory of her career.
Henry Cejudo (-325) vs. Wilson Reis (+295)
Cejudo by Decision (-149)
I think Cejudo winning a decision is the most likely outcome to this 125-pound contest, and I expect it to be largely one-sided when Bruce Buffers reads the scores.
Ashlee Evans-Smith (-260) vs. Sarah Moras (+240)
Evans-Smith Inside the Distance (+400)
Evans-Smith has a good chance of finishing this fight, so I see value in the Inside the Distance prop at the current price. This is a fight she should be able to dominate and earn a finish in, so +400 is worth a shot.
