Five Props is a column featured on MMAOddsbreaker.com after every major MMA event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card. Here are five UFC Fight Night 115 prop bets that cashed big based on the closing odds at Several Bookmakers.
1) Aleksandar Rakic by Decision (+475)
Rakic impressed in his promotional debut by defeating veteran Francimar Barroso via unanimous decision on the judges’ scorecards following three rounds of action that saw him stuff the majority of the Brazilian’s takedown attempts and outstrike him on the feet. It was a solid debut performance by Rakic, who looks to make a run in the UFC’s 205-pound division. He will need to continue to develop his grappling, as his striking is already amongst the best in the razor-thin division. Congratulations are due to those who wagered on Rakic winning this card on the judges’ scorecards, as the prop paid out at a fantastic +475.
2) Michel Prazeres by Submission (+380)
Prazeres defeated short notice promotional newcomer Mads Burnell via third round north-south choke submission. The win puts the Brazilian on a five-fight winning streak inside the Octagon, which he will be looking to extend to six his next time out. Congratulations are due to those who backed Prazeres to earn a submission victory in this contest, as the prop paid out at a respectable +380.
3) Marion Reneau by T/KO (+300)
Reneau took on short notice promotional newcomer Talita De Oliveira and defeated her via third round TKO after an entertaining back and forth battle. “The Belizean Bruiser”’ got the stoppage with mere seconds left in the final stanza. She nearly finished the Brazilian with submissions throughout the contest, but De Oliveira displayed great heart and survived until the closing seconds of the fight, where Reneau opted to go for the TKO instead of the submission. De Oliveira had no gas left in the tank and Reneau found success with the stoppage, allowing those who wagered on her to win in such fashion to cash their sweet +300 betting slips. Congratulations to you if you were on that one, you lucky thug.
4) Thibault Gouti by T/KO (+270)
Gouti snapped a three-fight losing streak to pick up his first UFC win with a first round TKO of Andrew Holbrook. It was the Frenchman’s best Octagon outing to date, as he stopped Holbrook’s takedown attempts and outstruck him on the feet. He hurt Holbrook with a headkick at the tail end of the stanza and followed up with strikes that Holbrook was unable to answer, which forced to referee to step in and halt the action, allowing Gouti to get his hand inside the Octagon for the very first time, after three straight defeats, which is rare to say. Congratulations to those who wagered on the Frenchman to take a T/KO win in this matchup, as the prop paid out at a solid +270.
5) Siyar Bahadurzada by T/KO (+173)
Bahadurzada returned to action following an extended layoff to pick up a second round TKO over undefeated Australian promotional newcomer Rob Wilkinson. It was a back-and-forth battle that saw both fighters have their moments, but it was the superior striker Bahadurzada who ultimately landed the fight ending blows in the second frame. It was a good fight for the Afghani fighter to get back on track, and although this was at middleweight, he will drop back down to the UFC’s welterweight division his next time out.
A $100 parlay on these five props would have netted $111,415
I believe this is the lowest figure in the history of this article.
