MMAOddsBreaker.com’s Submission of the Month for August 2017 goes to undefeated Invicta FC strawweight Kali Robbins at Invicta FC 25 on August 31st.
Robbins was 3-0 as a professional mixed martial artist heading into her 115-pound Invicta FC contest against Sharon Jacobson, hoping to earn her fourth straight victory. She ultimately got what she was hoping for, although it did not come as easy as the 42-second mark stoppage of the first round would indicate. Jacobson hurt Robbins to start off the round, coming out firing right out of the gate. Robbins was all but near finished when Jacobson made the mistake of taking the fight to the mat, and allowing Robbins to get a good hold of her arms, ultimately maneuvering into an armbar submission to earn the tap. Despite not lasting one full minute, this was a come-from-behind victory for Robbins, and quite an impressive one. It came in 40 seconds before the buzzer, as well, being on the last day of August. Congratulations, Kali Robbins!
