ONE Championship: Quest for Greatness Opening Betting Odds

ONE Championship: Quest for Greatness emanates from Stadium Negara in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia this Friday (August 18th, 2017) at 7 a.m. (ET) and is available on U.S. Pay-Per-View. The featherweight title is on the line in the main event as champion Marat Gafurov battles Martin Nguyen in a rematch.

Gafurov (15-0) has won 10 of his 15 career fights by submission, including a win over Nguyen at ONE Championship: Odyssey of Champions in 2015. The 32-year-old is coming off a first-round submission victory over Narantungalag Jadambaa at ONE Championship: Defending Honor in November. Nguyen (8-1) has won four straight fights by stoppage since his loss to Gafurov, including three wins by TKO. The 28-year-old has never gone the distance in his nine-fight career.

In the co-main event, 39-year-old Nobutatsu Suzuki will be competing in MMA for the first time since August 2014 when he takes on Ev Ting. Suzuki (11-2-2) is coming off a first-round TKO setback to Ben Askren at ONE FC 19: Reign of Champions and also competed in a custom rules bout back in May where he lost via TKO to Marcus Vinicios at Ganryujima Way of the Samurai 2017: in Maihama. Ting (13-4) had his four-fight win streak snapped in his last bout, losing to Eduard Folayang at ONE Championship: Kings of Destiny in April. “E.T” boasts wins over UFC veterans Will Chope and Kamal Shalorus.
