While August only has one event for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), the promotion gets right back to work at the beginning of September.
Things kick off on September 2nd with UFC Fight Night 115 in Rotterdam, Netherlands, which features a heavyweight main event between top 15 fighters Stefan Struve and Alexander Volkov. Struve has won his last two UFC fights with stoppage victories over Antonio Silva and Daniel Omielanczuk while Volkov has gone 2-0 since signing with the UFC, earning decision wins against Tim Johnson and Roy Nelson. In addition, former women’s featherweight champion Germaine de Randamie returns to action against Marion Reneau in a bantamweight fight.
But that’s not all, UFC 215 takes place a week later on September 9th at Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The two co-headlining title fights already have odds released, but there are still other major bouts on tap, including a heavyweight scrap between Junior dos Santos and Francis Ngannou as well as a matchup between former flyweight title challengers Wilson Reis and Henry Cejudo.
A couple other events take place on September 16th and September 22nd in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Saitama, Japan, respectively.
