Dana White’s Tuesday Night Contender Series Episode 4 Closing Odds and Betting Results

Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series Event 4 took place this past Tuesday (August 1, 2017). The card was headlined by a light heavyweight bout between Phil Hawes and Julian Marquez. Closing odds are courtesy of Several Bookmakers.

Favorites that Won

Kyler Phillips made quick work of James Gray, finishing him with ground and pound to earn a first-round stoppage. Phillips closed the biggest favorite on the card at -265 while Gray was a +225 underdog.

John Castaneda nearly doubled on strikes landed to win a unanimous decision over previously undefeated bantamweight Cheyden Leialoha. Castaneda closed as a -140 favorite with Leialoha a +120 underdog.

Underdogs that Won

In the main event of the evening, Julian Marquez made a true statement, landing a brutal head kick that sent Phil Hawes crashing to the canvas. With the victory, Marquez was awarded a UFC contract. Marquez closed as a +175 underdog with Hawes disappointing his backers as a -210 underdog.

Carlos Candelario was able to fend off submission attempts and out-strike Ronaldo Candido on the feet to win a decision. Candelario closed as a +185 dog while Candido was a -225 fave.

In an action-packed contest, Brandon Davis out-struck Austin Arnett to win a decision on the scorecards. Davis closed as a +160 underdog while Arnett was a -185 favorite in defeat. Davis was awarded a UFC contract with the victory.
