CES MMA 45 Opening Betting Odds

CES 45 emanates from the Twin River Casino in Lincoln, Rhode Island this Friday night (August 11, 2017) and will be televised live on AXS TV at 7 p.m. (ET). Heavyweight champion Ashley Gooch defends his title against fellow WSOF veteran Juliano Coutinho in the main event.

Gooch (10-5) is coming off a first-round TKO setback to UFC veteran Shawn Jordan at WSOF 33 in October, which snapped his eight-fight win streak. The 42-year-old captured the vacant title last year with a third-round knockout victory over Greg Rebello at CES 37, and this will be the first defense of his title.

Meanwhile, Coutinho (7-3) is also looking to bounce back after a second-round TKO loss to Justin Willis at WSOF 31 in April 2016. “Banana” hasn’t fought since then, and the 39-year-old will be competing for just the fourth time since 2015.

In the co-main event, Nate Andrews looks to extend his winning streak to five straight when he takes on WSOF vet Bruce Boyington. Andrews (10-1) is coming off a third-round submission victory over George Sheppard at CRS 40 in November. Boyington (14-10) heads into this matchup on a two-fight skid, including losses to undefeated featherweight Andre Harrison and ACB vet Musa Khamanaev.
